500mg is the lowest dose, so you're not risking giving yourself huge seizures by going cold-turkey on a massive dose. With JME, you'll just relapse to how you were before you started the meds. The main problem with JME is that while some people grow out of it, a lot of us with it develop generalised epilepsy. Some develop absence seizures, partial seizures, and a lot start having grand mal seizures. If you really don't want to take medication for it, that's for you to decide with your doctor. But realise that it's going to affect what you can do. You won't be able to drive if you're having seizures of ANY kind. I mean, myoclonic episodes can only last a split second, but things happen on the road where a split second is the difference between a small problem and a fatality. Not to mention they can happen in clusters (at least mine do) which makes it more like 10 seconds.

I wouldn't recommend stopping it, but it is your body and ultimately your choice.
References :
I take the same thing for the same thing. Well... The same thing in a much higher dose, that is. I was unlucky enough for mine to go generalised.

The risks are huge. You could have some seizures that don't stop. Status epilepticus, you could die or become a vegetable. If there is something wrong with your medication talk your doctor. I'm not sure if myoclonic are really deadly like a grand mal but I know if your having myoclonic or petit mal seizures these can turn into grand mal seizures. And also if you stop taking your meds and start having seizures it seems like it gets easier for your body to have seizures and they just come easier. Its best to be gradually taken off the medication for your safety.
References :
I had GD first pregnancy and just dx'd again this week for my second pregnancy. Mine fluctuates between 70 and 119. (normally lower in the morning) I stick to the diet but there have been times (like today, good friday and pigged out on pierogies) and my level was 160 after the 2 hour testing after dinner. It went back down under 120 after another hour. I talked to my doctor about how it fluctuates and he said it is normal. Just stick to your diet and try not to go over 120.
References :
Do not quit taking it !
You are only hurting yourself if you quit taking it. By the sounds of things, you want off of it because of "friends" or something. Let me tell you this, I had it hit me when i was 22 and a few that I thought were friends took off. If they were true friends , they would stick around with you and not run !
You worry about your health and well being, that is why you were put on the medication to control seizures , so stay on it!
References :
I had epilepsy

If they are in the recommended level that should be fine. It's not that you should get same number each day. See the dietitian in your area. Diet is very important. My after delivery weight was less than weight before I conceived but during pregnancy I gained weight still my doctor said I am eating too less and I am not gaining enough. But my sugar used to be in range and I delivered 7 pound baby.
References :
Gestational Diabetes Sugar Levels?
Hello Ladies!

I was recently diagnosed with GD and I have been folllowing the meal plans pretty much to the tee, the thing that I am seeing that my blood sugars are not completely consistant throughout the day. They are by no means outside of the recommended blood levels, however they are still fluctuating alot in between meals. What were you expereinces on these meal plans? Did you eat the same thing everyday? what worked best for you? Did you find that you lost weight?

what is the risk I take if I stop my epilepsy medication?
I'm 17 year old male and I have juvenille myoclonic epilepsy. I have been taking medication for about 5months. I'm currently taking Keppra 500mg every day. I have stopped my medication before for a day, and I relapsed having a seizure when I wakeup. My question is if I was to completely stop my medication, what is the risk I take? What can happen? Can I die? Please answer all the questions. Thank you for your help

low blood loss does play a part in hair loss but the major cause is pattern baldness which is genetic. you can always stand on your head for sometime for your blood flow.
References :
http://www.quickacneremedy.com

Poor blood circulation can really affect the growth or normal functioning of any part of our body, more so of the hair follicles which are also very prone to other environmental factors that will cause their damage like exposure to dust and sun. Blood supplies essential nutrients and oxygen which are vital for the maintenance and repair of cells/tissues and therefore, poor blood perfusion also diminishes the supply of these nutrients the hair follicle needs. They'll be thinner and will be more likely to be removed.( hair fall). scalp massage can increase blood circulation.
References :
any anatomy and physiology book (skin)
